Beaches and water activities
Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, Vias Plage is no less than 6km of fine sandy beaches.
Sun, blue sky... The sea and the pleasures of swimming in an exceptional and authentic setting.
The Clôt, Farinette or Libron beaches are all equipped and adapted to family holidays.
At Farinette, the main beach, numerous infrastructures allow you to fully enjoy the joys of swimming. Beach Volleyball court, activities organised by the town, but also straw huts and private beaches, Farinette extends at the end of the main avenue.
On the left is the Clôt beach. More wild, you will appreciate its dunes and its Mediterranean vegetation. Opposite, you can see the Tamarisière beach, the Grau d'Agde and its lighthouse. To get to the Agathoise coast, you just have to cross the mouth of the river.
Finally, the Clôt beach, the closest to the campsite. To get there, walk along the Libron river along a path with typical Languedoc charm. Along the river you can observe the boats of the local residents, but also the fauna and flora. You will appreciate the calm of this little frequented beach. A must for fishermen, on the dyke, the locals catch sea bream, sea bass and red mullet in their nets.
Your family holiday by the sea
The gently sloping water is ideal for holidays with children. Sand castles, sunbathing, ball games... Many activities are available to you.
Our beaches are also equipped with infrastructures to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility.
From April to September, lifeguard posts guarantee the safety of bathers.
Jet skiing and water sports
Thrill seekers can try their hand at jet skiing and towed buoy rides.
At Playa Water Sport, Alex and his team are happy to welcome you. From 16 years old and without a licence, they offer you to pilot a jet ski. Through the waves, live an experience rich in emotions.
Accompanied by an instructor, you can also opt for the Jet Ski tour. From Vias, follow the Mediterranean coastline to Cap d'Agde. The lucky ones can even see dolphins.

Blue flag label
For many years Vias has been awarded the Blue Flag label in recognition of the quality of its bathing water, environmental management, safety and the services offered to visitors.
The Blue Flag label is an international label that is awarded annually to beaches and marinas that meet rigorous criteria for water quality, environmental management, public awareness and visitor services. The label is considered a quality mark for beaches and marinas.
Since 1994, Vias Plage has been awarded this precious label every year. It is a testimony of the commitment of the town of Vias to provide a clean and safe environment for bathers and visitors, while preserving our exceptional natural environment.

Restaurants and shopping: you will love your stay in the South of France
Since 2017, Vias Plage has been constantly modernising. Recently renovated, the main avenue and the seafront are the perfect places to stroll.
Palm trees, relaxation areas and wide pavements, walk up the avenue to the promontory to admire the magnificent sunsets over the sea.
Along the Avenue de la Mediterranée there are bars, restaurants and shops, most of which are open from April.

Our good addresses
La Fabrique, the best ice cream in Vias Plage
During your stay in Vias Plage, we recommend a diversion to the ice cream parlour La Fabrique. A real artisan ice cream maker, the ice creams and sorbets are made on the spot.
As you will have understood, everything here is home-made. The products are carefully selected to offer you quality ice creams without preservatives or flavour enhancers.
It is difficult to choose a flavour among the 50 flavours on offer: Tiramisu, Unicorn, Snickers but also the traditional Vanilla, Chocolate or Pistachio... You will inevitably find what you like.
The churros and crêpes are also made fresh. La Fabrique also welcomes you in its restaurant. On the menu are salads, omelettes to be made up, but above all real Breton pancakes (we particularly like the Italian pancake: Serrano ham, pesto, tomatoes, mozzarella and parmesan).
Of course, you can also taste their original sweet creations: crepes on a plate and ice cream sundaes. If you have to try only one, choose the Lodge crêpe: a scoop of vanilla ice cream, homemade chocolate coulis and salted butter caramel (also homemade!), all accompanied by whipped cream.
The plus: their intimate patio in the shade of the palm trees, the unique decoration and the cosy, relaxed atmosphere.
La Cabane de l'étang, seafood and tapas restaurant
Why do we love going to the Cabanes de l'étang? The answer is simple: the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the dishes and products offered.
Here, you are welcomed by two brothers: Nico nicknamed "Coquille" and Geoffrey. A true family affair, the shellfish and famous Bouzigues oysters offered on the spot come from the family farmhouse located in Mèze. A local production, cultivated with know-how and respect for the natural environment.
The communicative good humour of Nico and Geoffrey, but also their love of the land, make the Cabanes de l'Etage an unmissable place in Vias Plage.
It is one of the few places where you can eat real home-made tapas. Cooked with fresh products, we advise you to try the "couteau en persillade" and the mussels "façon Mamie".
Amusement park and funfair
Fabrikus World is the theme park of Vias Plage. The largest amusement park in the south of France, it is certainly the favourite place for families.
